Some of you might know if you were at our June 3rd meeting at the Royal Orleans, that we had prayer for Bro. Omer Whayne ( Bro. Whayne is our Music Coordinator for our St. Louis Metro Apostolic Seniors and my brother in-law) the Doctor had just found out that he has Colon Cancer on Tuesday June 1st This past Tuesday (June 8th) Bro. Whayne had an MRI done to see if the Cancer had spread anyplace else. On Thursday the 10th he had appointment to see the surgeon, Dr. Silverman who told him that it look like the cancer was only in his upper colon, and no place else, this was good news, the tumor in the lower colon was not cancerous (benign). The doctor has order Omer to go Missouri Baptist for an ultra sound probe, to see if the tumor has attached it self to the wall, if it hasn’t it would be a much easier surgery. After the Ultra sound probe, Bro. Whayne will be schedule for surgery, the doctor said it will be about a two hour surgery and a three day stay in the hospital. At this point the doctor does not know what stage the cancer is in, but they feel that they caught the cancer in time. Bro. & Sis. Whayne and all the family are confident and convinced that God is the Healer, and he has already done the work. 1 John 5:14-15 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. KJV 2 Cor 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; KJV I am asking you who believe with me, speak with me the word of faith , the Lord has promise us in His word that it will obey you. (Luke 17:6) Thank you for your concern and prayers
